Description
It’s been so long
Since I’ve given you away
Every day I add another stone
To the walls I’ve built around you
To keep you safe
Oh, don’t leave me here alone
Don’t tell me that we’ve grown
For having loved a little while
Oh, I don’t want to be alone
I want to find a home
And I want to share it with you
“Working in the temple, Pike’s mind often drifts to Percy. The worry is almost too much to bear. There’s a battle for his soul and even in the temple, Pike goes to war for him.” - from Pike Trickfoot’s official Geek&Sundry playlist
Drawn because that song gave me too many feelings about these two and there's just not enough art of them. Their relationship intrigues me from what little we've seen of it. and I want to see so much more. They have so many contrasts and parallels and they just GET each other. He understands that she's not a pure, flawless saint who has all the answers and he doesn't put her on a pedestal like some other members of the party. And she has so much hope for him. She can see the earnest goodness inside him better than p much anyone else. She believes in him and helps him however she can, and she does this with all her friends to some extent or another it's true, but someone with Percy's awful self esteem issues needs all the help he can get. And Pike never rubs his mistakes in his face she's always just quietly supportive and Lord knows that boy needs a little bit of that once in awhile.
Also thanks for reminding me on how much I need to catch up on Critical Role. I'm just so far behind and there's so much stuff I'm missing ArGH
